The plant forms dense clumps. The foliage is evergreen, dark green. The flowers are large, white in color, and the flowering period occurs in winter or early spring.

The variety possesses good winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 5–6. Like other members of the genus, it is susceptible to diseases such as leaf spot, gray mold, and viral infections.

The variety is intended for ornamental gardening, including planting in borders, containers, and shady gardens.
