The plant reaches a height of 25–35 cm and a width of up to 40 cm. The leaves are leathery, dark green, often with a silvery pattern in the form of spots or veins. The flowers are nodding, having a pale pink shade with flecks of cream or green color.

The variety prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soils. Due to the presence of alkaloids in its tissues, the plant is resistant to deer damage. It is used in landscape design for borders, rock gardens, and shaded areas.
