Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 20–30 cm. Large solitary flowers with a diameter of 7.5–8 cm have a light pink hue when grown indoors, and turn red-brown when planted outdoors. Leaves are dark green, compound, with a serrated edge, 7.5–10 cm in size.

Flowering begins in December–January. The plant prefers partial shade and well-drained soil with a neutral pH, although it adapts to a wide range of acidity. A cycle of at least 2.5 years is required to grow to a marketable state. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
