Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing H. × ericsmithii and H. × hybrida. The plant forms a compact bush with erect or slightly spreading shoots. The foliage is evergreen, leathery, and dark green in color.

The flowers are large, 7–8 cm in diameter, of a saturated dark burgundy shade with yellow stamens, and are located above the foliage on long peduncles. Flowering is early and prolonged; depending on the climate, it can begin in December or late February and last for about three months.

The plant possesses good growth vigor and frost resistance. It is suitable for use in container gardening, group plantings, and as a cut flower crop. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
