Variety description

The plant is a herbaceous perennial that dies back to the soil level in winter. It forms a compact, well-branched bush 120–150 cm in height and the same in width. The stems are strong, upright, and self-supporting.
The leaves are oval in shape and have a very dark, almost black color. The flowers are large, reaching 20–23 cm in diameter, with a deep red shade. The flowering period lasts from mid-summer to early autumn.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -34 °C. It is resistant to soil waterlogging. Among pests, it is susceptible to hibiscus sawfly, and fungal diseases are possible if air circulation is poor.
