Variety description

The plant is an upright, well-branched shrub with a compact growth habit. A key decorative feature is the deeply dissected, glossy dark purple or burgundy leaves. Large solitary flowers have a deep pink hue.

The plant height is 1.0–1.2 m, and the shrub width is 0.6–0.9 m. The flowering period lasts from mid-summer to early autumn. The variety is a deciduous perennial that prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soils. The above-ground part dies back in winter and requires pruning.
