Variety description

The variety was bred at the Botanical Garden of Lomonosov Moscow State University through selection from the progeny of Leningrad and Altai forms. It is a vigorous bush up to 4 meters tall with a pyramidal crown shape. One of the key characteristics is the presence of shoots with very rare thorns, which facilitates maintenance and harvesting.

The fruits are large, oblong, and bright orange-yellow in color; the average weight of 100 berries is about 130 g. Due to the long pedicel, the berries are easy to harvest, and the detachment is dry or semi-dry. The variety is of early maturity, entering fruit-bearing in the second year after planting. The berries have a tart taste and contain vitamin C, carotenoids, and oil.

The plant has high resistance to diseases, as well as good winter hardiness. It should be noted that the Botaničeska-ja variety differs from the Botaničeska-ja ljubitel'skaja variety, which is an independent variety and is more common in Baltic nurseries.
