The variety is a descendant of the breeding combination Ladoga × Carola. Plants are characterized by medium lodging resistance and a medium tendency to stem and ear brittleness. During research, the variety was considered in the context of studying resistance to the pathogen Ramularia collo-cygni.

The variety belongs to the winter barley category and was intended for agricultural production. It is currently considered a historical or formerly cultivated variety and does not appear in modern catalogues for large-scale production.
