The variety belonged to the category of barley intended for purposes including brewing. Due to non-compliance with modern requirements, the variety was withdrawn from general commercial production and excluded from recommended variety lists, in particular, in Ireland in 2016.
In agronomic research, the variety was considered as an observation object, including in the study of phytopathological problems, for example, the spread of Ramularia collo-cygni. Detailed morphological characteristics of the variety are not provided in current publications.
