The variety is mid-season and belongs to two-row barleys with a cylindrical ear of medium density. Plant height is 92–95 cm. The variety possesses high resistance to lodging, as well as good general resistance to diseases, including loose smut, with medium susceptibility to root rots.
Thousand kernel weight varies from 45 to 54 g. The grain possesses pronounced malting qualities, in particular high malt extractivity. The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work by crossing the combinations (Vendela x Zeppelin) x Grace.
