The variety is a two-row winter barley. In studies of grain chemical composition, crude protein content varied from 11.4% to 13.16% depending on growing conditions.

The variety is characterized as being less susceptible to mycotoxin contamination compared to a number of other varieties. The crop is officially registered as feed barley and included in European catalogs of agricultural plant varieties.
