The variety belongs to the early-maturing barley group. The grain is characterized by a relatively high protein content; however, in terms of amino acid composition, it is inferior to a number of other varieties due to a reduced level of essential amino acids.
In studies of resistance to the nematode Heterodera filipjevi, the variety is classified as moderately resistant. The purpose of the crop is forage production for livestock needs.
