The variety is accredited by the malting barley committee for the production of grain distillates. It is characterized by a high specific weight, a low percentage of screenings, and specific requirements for nitrogen nutrition. The variety responds effectively to increased and late doses of nitrogen fertilizers, which are necessary to achieve target nitrogen content levels in the grain above 1.85%.
