The KWS Igor variety is a hybrid winter barley intended for agricultural production. It demonstrates high test weight values and resistance to diseases such as net blotch, rust, and Ramularia.
The grain of this variety is used in the food and brewing industries, including the production of roasted barley. There is also a separate barley variety named “Igor,” bred in 1998 in Croatia, which is an independent selection and does not relate to the modern hybrid.
