Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the two-row spring barley type. Its grain is characterized by a high percentage of large fractions, low protein content, and good homogeneity. When processed into malt, the variety provides high extractivity, low wort viscosity, and good fermentability indices.

A distinctive biological feature of the variety is its exceptionally high resistance to loose smut (Ustilago nuda). Due to its stable agronomic performance and crop quality, the variety has long been used as a parental form in genetic mapping and breeding research.
