The bush is relatively compact, vase-shaped. Leaves are dense, heart-shaped, with a wavy margin. The coloration is a combination of a grayish-emerald center and a broad golden or creamy margin, which may extend toward the center in streaks. The plant reaches a height of 30–50 cm.

In July, the variety forms strong upright flower stalks with lavender funnel-shaped flowers positioned above the foliage. The variety possesses high winter hardiness (USDA zone 3, down to -40°C) and resistance to diseases and pests. Due to sturdy flower stalks and bush structure, the plant is not prone to lodging.

Used for landscaping shaded and semi-shaded garden areas, borders, water features, and for container cultivation. Requires protection from direct sunlight, which can cause leaf margin scorch, and prefers slightly acidic soil.
