Variety description

The variety is a herbaceous perennial that forms an upright, well-branched and dense bush with strong stems. The flowers are large, up to 10–12 cm in diameter. A feature of the variety is the change in the color of the petals as they develop: when blooming, they are yellow-orange, then turn orange, and finally deep red. Flowers at different stages of maturity are often present on the same bush at the same time.

The plant blooms from July to October. The variety is winter-hardy, withstands temperatures down to −34 °C (USDA zone 4), and is heat-tolerant. It requires well-drained soils, as it is sensitive to waterlogging in the winter period. It can be affected by fungal and bacterial leaf diseases, as well as aster yellows. It is used in landscape design and for cut flowers; it attracts pollinators.
