Herbaceous perennial forms strong, upright, and well-branched stems reaching a height of 45 to 80 cm. The plant's foliage is green.

Large, dense, double flowers bloom from mid-summer and continue to bloom until autumn. The variety possesses drought and heat tolerance and is suitable for use in fresh and dried bouquets.

Like other members of the genus, the plant can be susceptible to aster yellows, as well as fungal and bacterial leaf spots. The double form of the flowers reduces their attractiveness to pollinating insects due to a lower volume of pollen and nectar.
