Variety description

10 August 2026

Armour is an interspecific rootstock of medium to high vigor, intended for grafting tomatoes ranging from cherry to beef types. It is based on the use of wild tomato species, which allows for transferring increased vigor and resistance to pathogens to the scion.

The rootstock possesses high resistance to leaf mold (Ff: A-E), Fusarium wilt (Fol: 0-1), Fusarium crown and root rot (For), Verticillium wilt (Va, Vd), as well as to tobacco mosaic virus and tomato mosaic virus (TMV: 0, ToMV: 0-2). It is also characterized by intermediate resistance to corky root rot (Pl), root-knot nematodes (Ma, Mi, Mj), and tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV).
