The rootstock is an interspecific hybrid developed to increase yield, fruit size, earliness, and the overall endurance of grafted plants. It possesses a pronounced generative effect that contributes to a balance of vegetative development.

It has high resistance to Tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, Fusarium crown and root rot, and corky root rot. It has intermediate resistance to root-knot nematodes. The use of the wild species Solanum habrochaites in breeding provides tolerance to stress factors.
