Variety description

The variety represents one of the first forms of Hydrangea arborescens with pink flowers discovered in the wild. The plant has an open, airy shrub habit and reaches dimensions of 1.5 meters in height and width.

The inflorescences are of the lacecap type: fertile flowers are colored in a light pink shade, with a small number of tiny sterile flowers present at the edges of the inflorescence. The plant attracts pollinators. The variety has been used by breeders as a parent form for developing new pink-flowered cultivars.
