The variety is also known by the names Schöne Bautznerin, Roter Baron, and Red Baron. The plant is a strong shrub that reaches a height of 1.5 meters or more after 10 years.

The flowers are collected in large, slightly flattened, rounded inflorescences. The flowering period lasts from July to September. The variety is suitable for growing in the garden in semi-shaded areas, as a pot plant, and is also suitable for drying inflorescences.
