Variety description

The variety is a deciduous shrub with a compact, rounded crown shape. The height of the adult plant varies from 1.0 to 1.5 m; the width of the crown is comparable to the height. A key feature is the ability to form inflorescences on current-year shoots and old wood.

Globular inflorescences reach 20 cm in diameter. The flower color depends on the soil pH level: in acidic environments they are blue, in neutral or alkaline — pink or lilac. The plant is characterized by high resistance to diseases and winter hardiness (USDA zone 4–9).
