Variety description

The shrub has a rounded shape and a densely branched structure, reaching a height of 90 to 150 cm. The main feature is the saturated dark purple, almost black color of the leaves, which persists throughout the growing season even in bright sun.

The inflorescences are corymbose. The shade of the flowers depends on soil acidity and varies from raspberry-red to purple-blue. The variety is remontant and blooms from early summer to early autumn.

The plant possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spot. The winter hardiness of the variety is estimated down to -19 °C, which corresponds to USDA zone 6; protection of flower buds from spring frosts is required. It is used for single plantings, group plantings, and container cultivation.
