The plant possesses large, broadly ovate, dark green leaves with serrated margins. Shrub dimensions vary from 1.2 to 1.5 m. The coloration of the inflorescences depends on the soil acidity level and the availability of micronutrients.

The variety is intended for ornamental gardening. The plant prefers partial shade or shaded areas with fertile, humic soils. The ability to bloom on young shoots allows the shrub to maintain its ornamental value even in the event of partial frost damage to the previous year's buds.
