The shrub has a rounded shape and large dark green, partly wrinkled leaves. The inflorescences form spheres with a diameter of 10–15 cm. The flower color can vary from dark pink to violet or blue depending on soil acidity.

Flowering lasts from July to September. The plant has frost resistance down to -18 °C. The variety is suitable for growing in borders, as a solitaire plant or in containers, and can also be used in dried bouquets.
