The variety has an upright shrub with a tendency for a spreading growth habit. The shoots are characterized by their strength, which allows them to support large inflorescences without lodging.

The plant belongs to free-flowering varieties. The inflorescences consist of numerous sterile flowers of a violet-blue shade. In trade, the variety is also known under the name Marine.
