The Hydrangea variety Tosca is a dense multi-stemmed shrub 1 to 2 meters high and 1–1.5 meters wide. The plant has lush foliage, and the flowers are gathered in large globular inflorescences. A characteristic feature is the serrated edges of the petals.

Flowering occurs in spring and summer; with summer pruning, re-blooming is possible in autumn. The variety is considered frost-resistant and prefers partial shade. It is used in mixed plantings, hedges, for container cultivation, and for cut flowers.
