Variety description

The shrub forms dense spherical inflorescences. The base color of the petals varies from deep pink to blue-violet depending on soil characteristics, while a characteristic white edging remains along the petal margins.

The plant belongs to late-blooming varieties with a long flowering period from July to September. The variety has moderate winter hardiness down to -12°C, due to which it is often grown in containers in temperate climates. It is used in landscape design as a solitaire plant or in borders, and is also suitable for cutting and drying.
