The variety has synonyms "Sun Goddess", "Ogonba" and "Yellow Leaf". The plant is a compact shrub with a height of 60 to 120 cm. A characteristic feature is the bright lemon or golden-yellow color of the leaves, which can suffer sunburn when directly exposed to the noon sun.

The inflorescences are of the globular type. The shade of the flowers depends on the soil pH level: on acidic soils they turn blue, on neutral or alkaline soils — pink. The variety is relatively heat-loving (USDA zones 8, with caution 7), sensitive to excessive moisture and is characterized by moderate flowering.
