Variety description

The variety is an ornamental shrub, presumably a hybrid of Hydrangea macrophylla and Hydrangea serrata. The plant is characterized by compact size and the ability to bloom on both previous year's and current year's shoots. Inflorescences are flat, lacecap, reaching a diameter of 20–25 cm.

Marginal flowers are white, decorated with a distinct red or raspberry-red fringed margin, which fades over time. Glossy dark green foliage acquires a reddish tint in spring and autumn. Flowering is prolonged, from June to September.

The variety is moisture-loving, prefers acidic, well-drained soils and partial shade sites. Winter hardiness corresponds to zones 5–6; in central regions, it requires protection. Suitable for solitary plantings, hedges, container cultivation, and cutting.
