Compact rounded shrub, reaching 90–120 cm in height and width. The foliage is dark green, dense, with a leathery texture; in autumn, it may acquire a burgundy-red hue. Stems are strong, holding the inflorescences well.

Lacecap-type inflorescences consist of small fertile flowers in the center and large sterile ones along the edges. Flowering is prolonged, from mid-summer until frosts. On acidic soils, the flower color can change to lavender or purple.

The variety has good resistance to powdery mildew and is characterized by frost resistance down to USDA zone 5.
