Variety description

The variety belongs to the group with globose inflorescences. Flower color varies from purple with a blue center to ruby-red, with shades potentially changing during the flowering process. The shrub has a rounded shape and reaches a height of 1.4–1.6 m.

The plant is intended for border plantings, patio landscaping, container cultivation, and use in landscape compositions. The flowering period lasts from July to September.

The variety prefers partial shade, as well as fertile, moist, and well-drained soils. Frost resistance is rated as moderate; the plant is capable of withstanding temperature drops down to -18 °C. In literature, the variety may be referred to under the name Holehird Purple.
