The Let's Dance Moonlight variety (trade name Robert) is a compact shrub 0.6–1.5 m in height. The plant is remontant, blooming on current and previous year's shoots from June to September with large spherical inflorescences, the color of which changes depending on soil pH.

The South Korean variety Moonlight has a semi-upright growth habit with drooping stems and reaches a height of about 56.8 cm. Flowering begins in early June; the inflorescences are spherical, consisting of sterile flowers, the color of which varies from pink to dark purple and blue depending on soil acidity.
