Variety description

The variety was obtained by crossing the variety «Professeur Bois» with a pink-flowered Hydrangea hortensis seedling. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth, strong stiff stems, and developed leathery foliage.

The inflorescences consist of very large flowers, the petals of which have deeply incised scalloped edges. The flower color varies from carmine-pink to bright carmine. The variety was historically classified as late.
