The variety Progrès (or Le Progrès) is a historical plant, mentions of which are found in the Lemoine nursery archives and old botanical lists from the beginning of the 20th century. Due to the age of the variety, detailed modern descriptions of its agronomic qualities are absent.

According to data from historical German price lists, the variety belongs to hydrangeas with light pink flowers. The plant is used for decorative purposes in landscaping.
