The plant is a compact, dense, deciduous shrub 60–90 cm in height and width. The stems are strong, which allows them to support large spherical inflorescences without deformation of the bush. The flower color varies from deep blue to purple depending on soil acidity and the presence of aluminum.

The variety is early-flowering, blooming throughout the summer on the previous year's shoots. It possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and salts, and is recommended for USDA hardiness zones 5–9. Suitable for container cultivation, creating borders, and use as cut flowers.
