The variety is classified as a hybrid of Hydrangea serrata and Hydrangea macrophylla. The plant forms globe-shaped inflorescences; in the young phase, the flowers have pastel shades, which over time change to pink or purple. The flowering period can last until October.

The variety is intended for use in landscape design and ornamental gardening. The crop prefers to grow in partial shade on moist, humus-rich soils.
