Variety description

The plant is a rounded, dense shrub 90–150 cm high and 100–120 cm wide. Leaves are dark green, glossy, broadly ovate, with a serrated edge and pointed tip, often acquiring a wine-red shade in the autumn period.

Flat umbellate inflorescences reach a diameter of 15–22 cm. Large wine-red sterile flowers are located along the edges, and small pink or white fertile flowers are in the center. The shade of the sterile flowers changes to purple-violet when grown on acidic soils.

Flowering lasts from mid-summer to autumn on the previous year's shoots. The variety is moderately winter-hardy, requires covering during the winter period and minimal pruning of damaged shoots. It is used in landscape design for solitary and group plantings, as well as for container cultivation.
