Variety description

The variety forms flat corymbose inflorescences 12–22 cm in diameter. The marginal flowers have a red-raspberry or carmine-red color, which turns purple or violet in acidic soils. The shrub is distinguished by its rounded shape and upright, strong shoots.

The plant height is from 0.9 to 1.5 m in the open field and 0.4–0.6 m when grown in containers. The leaves are dark green, ovate, with serrated margins, acquiring a wine-red hue in autumn. Flowering lasts from July to September on previous year's shoots.

The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zone 6 (down to -23°C) and requires winter protection to preserve flower buds. The variety is moisture-loving, prefers partial shade and wind-protected areas, and does not tolerate calcareous soils.
