Variety description

The variety is a compact rounded shrub. Young foliage has a reddish tint; mature foliage is dark green and dense. In open field, the height reaches 1.0–1.2 m; when grown in containers, the plant remains shorter.
Inflorescences are large, rounded in shape, and consist of flowers with a diameter of 3.5–4 cm. The color depends on soil acidity: on neutral soils they are salmon-pink, on acidic soils — intensely violet or blue. The shrub has strong stems, which contribute to maintaining its shape.
The plant is characterized by prolonged flowering and a requirement for soil moisture. The variety is perennial but requires covering in open field or wintering in a protected indoor area when grown in containers.
