Variety description

The variety "Stockholm" (breeder name "Rasto") is a compact shrub ranging from 0.8 to 1.2 m in height; in container cultivation, sizes may be smaller. The dark green leaves retain their decorative appearance throughout the season.

The plant forms large spherical or hemispherical inflorescences 15–20 cm in diameter, colored in pink, red, or pinkish-lilac-red. The flowering period lasts from July to September–October.

The variety prefers partial shade areas with fertile, moist, drained soils of acidic or slightly acidic reaction. Frost resistance is up to -18 °C; due to the formation of flower buds on previous year's shoots, mandatory winter cover is required.
