Variety description

The variety is a bud mutation of Hydrangea macrophylla "Magical Opal" and is a shrub with strong shoots, reaching a height of 150 cm after 10 years of growth. The stems are green and covered with numerous reddish-black lenticels.

The plant forms flat "lacecap" type inflorescences. Flower color varies from pale pink to white with a center that changes shade depending on soil acidity; light purple sepals with yellow spots are also noted. Flowering occurs from July to September.

The variety is characterized as fully winter-hardy and suitable for landscape design or the production of cut flower material.
