The plant is a compact shrub about 0.6 m high and up to 0.75 m wide. The foliage is dark green, glossy, and resistant to diseases. The spherical inflorescences acquire a saturated violet-blue color on acidic soils or bright pink and red on neutral and alkaline soils.

Flowering occurs from early to mid-summer; the variety is remontant. The crop is characterized by increased resistance to cold, diseases, and salt; recommended for USDA hardiness zones 5–9. Suitable for container growing, borders, cutting, and landscaping.
