The shrub grows vigorously, reaching a height of 150–200 cm in 10 years. The shoots are upright and strong; the foliage is glossy, sometimes with a silvery margin. The flowering period lasts from June or July to August or September.

The 'mophead' type inflorescences resemble lilac flowers due to the shape of the sepals. The plant is used for planting in open field, as well as a container crop. The variety has winter hardiness; to obtain a blue shade of inflorescences, acidic soil with aluminum sulfate is required.
