Variety description

The variety is a compact, well-branching shrub reaching a height and width of up to 1.40–1.60 m. Leaves are ovate, fleshy, 10–15 cm long, and may change color in autumn. The plant has winter hardiness down to -18 °C.

Inflorescences are flat, umbel-shaped, consisting of central fertile flowers and large surrounding sterile flowers. Sterile flowers are white, turning pink or acquiring burgundy and mauve shades with age. Central flowers are usually pink, turning bluish-lilac in acidic soils. Flowering lasts from June to September.

Used in ornamental gardening as a solitaire plant, in group plantings, and in container cultivation.
