The plant is a dense, rounded shrub reaching 40 to 100 cm in height and width. The foliage is dark green, oval-shaped, with serrated edges. Flowers are gathered in dense globular inflorescences, the petals of which are often narrow or pointed.

The color of the inflorescences depends on soil acidity and the presence of aluminum: in a neutral environment, the flowers are bright pink or pinkish-red, and in acidic soil, they are purple or bluish. Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots from July to September.

The variety possesses winter hardiness within USDA zone 6 (down to -18...-23 °C) and requires protection in the conditions of the central region. The plant tolerates urban conditions well, is suitable for growing in containers, creating borders, and use in cut flower arrangements.
