Variety description

Ornamental deciduous shrub, reaching a height of up to 4 meters, although it is usually grown as a more compact plant in container cultivation. The leaves are large, 10–15 cm in size, dark green in color.

The inflorescences have a semi-spherical shape with a diameter of 15–20 cm. The flowers are colored in rich red-violet shades with characteristic greenish-brown iridescence. The plant prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soils with a slightly acidic or neutral pH.

The variety is used in ornamental gardening for landscaping flower beds, decorating patios, or growing in pots. In regions with severe climates, the plant requires protection from extreme frosts.
