Variety description

The shrub with a rounded crown reaches a height of 1.5 to 2.0 meters, in some cases up to 2.5–4 meters. The shoots are strong, dark cherry in color. The leaves are dark green, elongated-ovate, with serrated edges, turning golden-orange in autumn.

Large conical inflorescences 30–35 cm long consist of loosely arranged sterile flowers with four oval sepals on long pedicels. The color of the inflorescences changes from white-cream at the beginning of flowering to a pinkish undertone by autumn.

The plant is adapted to USDA zone 4, withstanding frosts down to -34°C. The crop is demanding regarding soil acidity and sensitive to moisture stagnation. During heavy rainfall and wind, the shoots may require support due to the weight of the inflorescences.
