The plant is a dwarf shrub with a height of about 0.5 m and a width of 0.3–0.4 m. The shoots possess high rigidity, which allows the shrub to maintain its shape and hold its inflorescences in bad weather. The foliage is dark green, turning yellow or purple in autumn.
The inflorescences are dense, spherical or dome-shaped, consisting of sterile flowers. The color changes from lime-green upon opening to cream-white, with a possible pinkish hue at the end of flowering. Flowering is abundant, occurring on current-year shoots, and lasts from July to October.
The variety is winter hardy (zone 5a, down to -29 °C) and resistant to diseases. It grows well in sun or partial shade, in moist, fertile soils with a neutral or acidic reaction. Suitable for container gardening, borders, and cut flowers.
